Even though severe winters are becoming increasingly rare, short-term winter conditions are still difficult for us, the little feathered beings. Snow and icy rains put our entire natural pantry under frozen lock and key. Fortunately, a few kind human souls are thinking of us. In small wooden houses, like tiny chalets improvised as supply points, they provide us with a few walnut crumbs, peanuts pieces and other nutrients that are so much welcome to get through the most bad days. As a heartfelt thank you, we will sing them our most beautiful and joyful melodies once the lovely spring weather has returned.
